July 13 is Thor 4 hopes to electrify our cinemas. Chris Hemsworth finds Stormbreaker but also Natalie Portman in Jane Foster, Chis Pratt and Guardians of the Galaxy, while Christian Bale will come to sow chaos in Gorr the godslayer and that Russell Crowe takes on the role of Zeus. At the realization Taika Waititi.
But what is this new Marvel adventure worth? Not easy to succeed Spider-Man No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madness.
The first opinions on Taika Waititi’s film have fallen. And obviously the disappointment is there.
I could see #ThorLoveAndThunder last week and we are in the right line of Ragnarok. It is certainly less powerful (less surprise effect) but Taika Waititi manages to mix humor and drama well.
There are 2 post-credits scenes and the 2nd will be talked about a lot pic.twitter.com/egRf0AXy7s

Disappointed with #ThorLoveandThunder much less impactful than Thor Ragnarok. Despite some nice gags (howling goats, Dwayne), the Taika Waititi machine spins in a vacuum. Thor 4 passes for yet another Marvel as quickly seen as forgotten. Too bad. pic.twitter.com/NZFEXvhBD9

#ThorLoveAndThunder it’s some episode from season 12 of a series that nobody watches anymore, made by this guy in the evening who tells you “yeah I’m a freelance graphic designer”, uses the expression “it’s golri” and finishes his sentences by “de ouf” and “I’m like a kid there”

Even with a level -15 tolerance threshold, the joke is long, heavy and useless #ThorLoveAndThunder pic.twitter.com/oE49Ae1b6q— Geoffrey Crete (@GeoffCrete) June 30, 2022
#ThorLoveAndThunder is a disappointing miss. I loved Waititi’s humorous formula but falls COMPLETELY flat on what it adapts for both Jane Foster and Gorr. Bale plays around, there are incredible cuts and a frenetic pace weighed down by his jokes. pic.twitter.com/4uPP6da3Mz

With #ThorLoveAndThunder, Taika Waititi reapplies the Ragnarok formula. Obviously, the element of surprise disappears. Also, it’s less epic than Jason Aaron’s run. Nonetheless, it lives up to its title with love and thunder. Christian Bale and Natalie Portman, MVPs! pic.twitter.com/n2Ta1aIMkE

Despite Taika Waititi, #ThorLoveAndThunder is one of #Marvel the most inconsistent in terms of dramaturgy, ossified by disembodied effects and staging.
During its first hour.
Then the film wakes up, draws a semblance of heart from its armada of references. pic.twitter.com/CLdfHQIRiQ

Between his goat sleigh, his infernal kids and his good feelings, #ThorLoveAndThunder looks almost more like a Christmas story, led by its famous duo mother-Santa Claus, than a superhero movie.
A nice little tale very badly told, clumsy and not very beautiful. pic.twitter.com/K5eptzMDEa

quite appalled by #ThorLoveAndThunder. Sloppy VFX (spectacular decline compared to the previous part), cheap DA, the fresh breeze of the delirium of #ThorRagnarok lost all his breath. What did Christian Bale and (worst of all) Russell Crowe have in this soup? pic.twitter.com/6pgzLJXcb0

#ThorLoveAndThunder is worse than the sum of its parts.
Pure Waititi, for better or worse. Lazy and heavy, he reveals his best ideas – and a heart – in his final act. A little late to make a good movie.
Review soon on @cnetfrance.

#ThorLoveAndThunder it’s fun and cool. In line with #Ragnarok but with a little more to tell. Chris Hemsworth is always flawless. Christian Bale a rather successful villain with tragic overtones. And Natalie Portman steals the show. pic.twitter.com/iBjUUAvPbt

What is fascinating about #ThorLoveAndThunder, as in a lot of these films now, is that stars and directors seem to give up making a good film by assuming it. They seem to constantly whisper to us: “yeah it sucks, but it’s not missed since it’s done on purpose”.
