Richard Orlinski unveils new works in the streets of Paris: from the Concorde to the Madeleine via the rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, we meet very strange monumental animals… A beautiful outdoor exhibition which we can enjoy on June 8 to July 19, 2022.

You are not dreaming, it is indeed bears, gorillas and giant wolves that you have just come across on your way, in the heart of Paris… Faubourg Saint Honoré district is invaded by sculpture by Richard Orlinski, one of the most influential contemporary artists of the moment. From June 8 to July 19, 2022, the center of Paris is transformed into an open-air zoo. Watch out for predators…

The sculptor installs five of his creations in different streets of the 8th district, on the Place de la Concordeon the place of the MadeleineRoyal Street, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and Place Maurice Barres. This exhibition, installed on the initiative of the Faubourg Saint-Honoré Committee, brings an unexpected touch and color to these historic districts.

We can therefore admire a wolf, a panda, a bear And two gorillas majestic and imposing. These animals with bright colors seem to be carved in precious stones, or modeled from paper, like an origami. The style ofOrlinsky is recognizable among all, and has become its trademark. It must be said that the artist manages to give a strength and emotions striking to these sculptures, which impose respect and leave no passer-by indifferent.

Moreover, you will surely recognize these magnificent animals, if you walk regularly in this corner of Paris: from December 2021 to February 2022, the artist had exhibited several of his monumental sculptures on the Champs-Elysées and Avenue Georges V !
