Investigators seek to trace financial flows
It was these arrests that led to the police operation at the headquarters of the two clubs, 18th (Saint-Etienne) and 14th (Angers) in the last year in Ligue 1. The purpose of these searches was simple: to seize financial documents related to with the transfers under investigation in order to follow the path of the money used.
In Angers, these events are still taking place under the eye of the Americans, who wish to buy the club, and who are continuing their audit. The investigators were present all day at the SCO. For the moment, little consequence for the club even if some employees expect to be heard in the coming weeks.
On the side of the Greens, the search carried out by the investigators is currently over. According to sources close to the file in Forez, ASSE is “serene” at the end of a Tuesday which saw the validation of its accounts before the DNCG, the “good news of the day”. The club is told that the managers have dealt with a well-known, well-established agent, who has his FFF and UEFA license, that everything is in order with him in terms of payments – and that what the agent, his company and people gravitating around are not the responsibility of the Greens.
At the end of May, the judicial police had carried out an operation at the Luchin estate, in Lille, in order to carry out hearings at the headquarters of Losc. Player transfers were also in the sights of investigators, starting with that of Victor Osimhen in Naples two years ago.
