The Italian concluded this first day at the top of the hierarchy in front of the defending champion.
One Ducati chases another
The MotoGP™ riders competed in a second free practice session this Friday afternoon and the more the minutes passed, the drier the track was. After a while, Luca Marini (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) therefore decided to switch to slicks. Everyone will eventually imitate him. In this little game, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) was the one who did best, as evidenced by this lap in 1’33.274. The Italian, formerly 11e, indeed left with the honors, for a little less than two tenths vis-à-vis Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia Racing). Yes, but now the Catalan was going to see his entire last run canceled because of this spoiler left under the rear wheel… when he had mounted the slicks. As a result, he was pushed back to the bottom of the standings.
Summary: It starts well for Bagnaia
The Ducati Lenovo Team representative was rewarded with the best provisional time during FP2.

Quartararo moves up the rankings
Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™), only 17e in the wet, corrected the situation well too, since he found himself second.
For his part, Alex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar) climbed to third place; while Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team), credited with the fastest time that morning, had to settle for fourth place. The Australian actually ended up sandwiched between the two representatives of the Suzuki Ecstar team.
Zarco still in the Top 10
Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) inherited sixth position this time ahead of Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), who finished 13e FP1s. Johann Zarco (Prima Pramac Racing), Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) and Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) completed the Top 10. The rookie, so far 14ewas still trapped in turn 5.
The next session will be held this Saturday at 9:55 a.m.
