Elden Ring: removed content
Long-awaited title before its release, Elden Ring seems to have succeeded in meeting the expectations of the players. The latest From Software offers very dense content but which could have been even richer. Many mechanics, lines of dialogue and quests have been removed from the game and some players have set out to find them. Such discoveries often provide a little more context to players, and in particular to lore enthusiasts who are struggling to survey the Underworld with a fine-tooth comb in order to learn more.
This is one of the missions that the youtuber seems to have invested in Sekiro Dubi. It is for example he who discovers that the merchants play their musical instruments as in real life. He also put his finger on the mystery of the DLC: shortly after the release of the game, some rumors emerge concerning the closed coliseums. They would have been the subject of additional multiplayer content planned by From Software.
Elden Ring: Vyke, the knight in the jacket
Rebelote two days ago since they publish a video concerning removed content around the character Vyke. A character that all players have seen: this is the knight on the official artwork of the game and the cover. And no, it’s not a symbolic representation of the player. First, lines of dialogue from Gostoc (one of the first NPCs in the castle) would have been removed. They mention a “repulsive knight having entered the castle just before me”. This knight is Vyke, who would have had a now withdrawn quest. Sekiro Dubi considers that, depending on the character’s position, it would have been possible to summon him to help the player defeat one of the Veilorage bosses. Maybe Godrick or Godfrey, since the latter has a model in the castle.
In any case, we will not know more for the moment. Maybe From Software decided to remove this content around Vyke, a character apparently important to appear on the cover of the game, to make it special content via a DLC? Another explanation, and the most logical, would be that the studio was not satisfied with the final aspect of the content and therefore preferred to remove it from the game.
