After eight years of absence, the one who had formalized her retirement in 2018 will be showing “Back in Action”, the release date of which has not yet been revealed.

Cameron Diaz, who deserted film sets eight years ago, is about to return to service: the star of Mary at all cost will soon be showing a Netflix film with an appropriate title, Back in Action (translated as “back to business”). The announcement fell this Wednesday on the Twitter account of Jamie Foxx, who will give him the answer in this feature film whose release date is unknown.
The actor of Ray published the recording of a telephone conversation, during which he discusses with Cameron Diaz the best way for the latter to announce his return. “I’m delighted, but I don’t know how to do it,” said the latter. The actor then invites Tom BradyAmerican football player who announced his retirement in February before join a new team a month laterin the conversation:
“I was chatting with Jamie, who told me you needed some advice on how to come out of retirement?” the athlete is heard asking.
The actress of Charlie’s Angels confirmed the information in her own Instagram story: “Jamie Foxx, only you could get me back in business!”, She wrote. “I can’t wait, it’s going to be great!”.
Film shrouded in mystery
As reported variety, Back in Action will be directed by Seth Gordon, filmmaker behind the hit comedy How to kill his boss? – in which Jamie Foxx had a role. He co-signed the script with Brendan O’Brien, screenwriter of the film Our Worst Neighbors. The feature film for which Cameron Diaz will find the film sets is presented as an action comedy, and no details concerning the plot have been communicated. Filming is due to start this year.
Revealed in 1994 by her role in The Mask alongside Jim Carrey, Cameron Diaz has had a string of successes for twenty years (The wedding of my best friend, In the skin of John Malkovich, Vanilla Sky, Gangs of New York, bad teacher…) before disappearing with a final role in the film Annealongside Jamie Foxx, in 2014.
